• External API Security: When communicating with OCR Space API, all data is sent via encrypted HTTPS connections

Third-Party Services

OCR Space (Optical Character Recognition)

When you choose to extract text from images or PDFs, Filldin uses OCR Space API with your explicit consent:

• User Consent Required: A dialog appears before any OCR processing asking for your permission
• Session-Only Consent: Consent is required each time you open the extension
• Temporary Processing: Images are processed temporarily and not stored by OCR Space
• No Personal Data: Only the image content is sent for text extraction
• Secure Transmission: All communication with OCR Space is encrypted via HTTPS
• Optional Feature: You can always decline OCR processing
